Catania Women won the regional final of the Italian Cup of Women's Excellence, beating Santa Lucia Syracuse 5-2. Al "Morina" of Francofonte, rossazzurre twice ahead but always reached in the first fraction; in the second half the decisive acceleration. Best in the field Beatrice Vitale, author of four goals. Rita Russo also scored in the final. The conquest of the regional trophy will allow Peppe Scuto's girls to participate in the national phase of the competition.
